Seoyeon LEE

I am preparing for doctoral study in Educational Technology while currently working as a research assistant at Seoul National University Learning Sciences Research Institute. I hold a B.A. in Korean Language Education and an M.A. in Educational Psychology. My interdisciplinary background has shaped my interest in understanding learning from both classroom-based and psychological perspectives.

Through my work at KEDI and TeamSparta, where I designed and managed online learning experiences for diverse learners, I developed a strong interest in technology-enhanced learning environments. These practice-based experiences, combined with my theoretical training and current research experience, have helped me explore learners' emotional experiences and collaborative interactions in digital contexts. Together, they have broadened my research focus to include educational technology and deepened my engagement with the Learning Sciences.

My current research interests focus on the social-emotional responses that arise in situations where learners interact with AI. In particular, I aim to examine how learners perceive, trust, emotionally engage with, and respond to AI-based instructional support within these interactions. Ultimately, I hope to derive AI design principles that can foster positive social-emotional responses and support meaningful learning experiences in AI-mediated learning contexts.
